Intel Fab Rumor Fuels 450-mm Speculation
Intel is widely rumored to be planning a new fab at one of its several campuses in Hillsboro, Ore. Intel has declined to comment, but the rumor gained credence with a report in The Oregonian, which cited interviews with labor unions and Oregon officials suggesting that the world’s largest semiconductor company is laying the groundwork for another Oregon facility.
