You might not have met him, but if you design LED-backlit LCD TVs, you’re probably familiar with his work. And if you’re pushing LED lighting technology, you want him on your side.
Jeff Parker is an inventor of advanced lighting and optoelectronics technologies and a senior vice president in the lighting technology division at Rambus. He and his team are innovating LED edelighting for LCD TVs and general illumination (see The Big Idea, page 1). Earlier this year, Rambus and GE Lighting forged a 10-year deal, with a five-year option, to develop advanced LED lighting products.
