India Sanguine on Medtech Prospects

With 17 percent of the world’s population, India has an opportunity to improve living standards by expanding access to medical technologies, in turn letting medical electronics providers do well by doing good. Nanotechnology, telemedicine and innovative chip technologies will all have a role in improving the availability of affordable, quality health care in India, says Vivek Sharma of the medical electronics segment at the Indian Semiconductor Association.
