Wireless and consumer chip maker CSR is hoping its drive to develop new location-based platforms will help it avoid the commoditization of its chip offerings. Rather than trying to fit CSR’s chips inside someone else’s platform, “We need to have a platform of our own,” acknowledges CSR's Kanwar Chadha.
