The curious thing isn't that white space is being exploited, but that it has taken this long. Spectrum is "something they are not making any more of" these days, and surely RF Spectrum is even more crunched that real estate.
It will be interesting to see what the chipset cost is so that people like my company can incorporate the link... at the right price point, I can think of three or four applications at my company right off the top.
